Within a couple months I made even more improvements! It is exciting to see how training on a consistent basis is changing my body. Between DWEP, gym training, and a healthy diet I am currently in the best shape of my life. What is also interesting is that in each of these pictures I weigh exactly the same, so for all those people focused on the scale, don't be.
2013 was a big year for me not only with racing but also in my personal life. When it comes to races I will do whatever and crawl across the finish if I have to, but in my personal life I HATE leaving my comfort zone, what if things go bad?
Stepping out of my comfort zone in 2013 led me to join DWEP! It is great having Dennis coach me and make me realize that I can take my time with all of my goals. Yesterday I realized that I have to take a step back, there is so much I want to do but not enough time in one year to train correctly for everything. My next races I want to PR and I want to start placing. I need to make sure that I give myself enough time to accomplish each goal and give myself a break in between. So that is what I will do! 2014 Races Tidewater Striders Distance Series Probably the VIFL 14k Shamrock MARATHON! Then who knows probably Spartans and another 50k?? I also would like to start doing more 5k's and 10k's |
